BioWho am I and why am I here?
Deep insightful questions born of ignorance.
So, why join this site, will it be like most other things I join or try, fun for a moment or three before apathy grabs my ankle, or my attention span attenuates to zero and I abandon it. I guess that makes me sound like a quitter, and I don’t think that is accurate. I feel more like a seeker, constantly seeking but I know not what for. Will I recognise it when I find it? I hope so, otherwise how much effort wasted. Or maybe the journey is the purpose in itself and I should enjoy the fact that I have one instead of being happy, satisfied and never yearning for more. That is me then, always looking for the next mountain, and scanning the next field for daisies. I do sometimes stop and rest awhile, though it is never too long before the itch to change and explore anew becomes too strong to ignore. So far I have been fortunate and able to indulge myself, and only been stuck trying to make the best of a bad situation for short periods.
What the future holds I don’t know, but I have decided that I want someplace to store all my rambling thoughts. I often wrote things down, I find it cathartic and a good way to organise my mind. For a while I had a friend and mentor who used to receive these ramblings as emails. There is something even more satisfying in hitting the send button, releasing my thoughts off on their own wings, to be read or ignored, I don’t know their fate, but at least they will have a destiny other than my own. But times change and those who once could share in everything no longer can, so I’ve been cataloguing myself on my hard-drive, but there is something lost in merely writing without sharing, so I am here for the foreseeable future.
